Do you struggle to switch off and relax? I mean really relax without the urge to just switch on the tv or your iPad as a distraction. Struggling to switch off, isn’t just an adult problem, sadly it is now very much a child and teenage problem as well. Constant over stimulation from unhealthy thinking and poor lifestyle and behavior patterns are playing havoc with a large majority of the world’s population. Many think it’s just the way life is. They don’t realize or recognize with simple lifestyle changes how much easier life can be. Continue reading “GUEST POST|Simple Ways You And Your Family Can STOP And Let Go Of Stress”
As the self-kindness portion of The Kindness Challenge has come to an end, I just wanted to share something I think a lot of people need to be reminded of. We’re all on this journey of life with no instructions or manual. We’re all doing the best we can with the tools at our disposal during our journey. It’s easy to look back and see how we could have done things better because we have tools that would have been useful and a different perspective. Continue reading “Tools for Your Journey”
It’s funny because as I sit and think of self-acceptance many things come to mind. Over the years I’ve had to find my way and myself. Growing up in a military family, I always felt out of place. I always seemed to arrive at a new base and be missing out. My peers had their groups, and I never quite fit in. I always thought it was because I arrived too late. Years ago, I identified I needed a minimum of 8 hours of sleep to function at my best (when I say a minimum of 8 I really mean I feel awesome with 9 or 10). While getting the amount of sleep my body requires isn’t an issue for me, I thought this video might be helpful for those that do struggle with it. There are so many aspects of sleep discussed in this video from societal norms to the science behind sleep and the importance of dreaming. I encourage you to bookmark this and come back to it when you can watch the video because it has lots of great information and information to reflect on.

I think a very important aspect of being emotionally healthy is being able to speak your voice. Holding in your thoughts and feelings is uncomfortable and unhealthy. As an energy worker, I believe that we are more than our physical body and that our physical health depends upon our emotional, mental, and spiritual health in addition to nurturing and maintaining the physical.
